Scientific Programme and Welcome Reception

The scientific programme of QFS 2016 will take place at the Clarion Congress Hotel, Prague. Situated a few minutes away from the city center - near Vysočanská underground station, this modern complex opened in 2008 and consists of a 4* hotel, congress halls and associated facilities, restaurants and a shopping center. The conference will open with the welcome reception on Wednesday 10th August. The scientific programme will start on Thursday 11th August at 09:00 and will end on Wednesday 16th August at 12:00. There will be no sessions on Sunday 14th August to allow for tours, excursions, and the conference banquet.

A series of tutorials covering the basics of QFS Topics will take place at the Troja campus of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics during the afternoon of Wednesday 10th August. These tutorials are aimed at students and young researchers and will be given by preeminent members of the low temperature physics community.

Conference Dinner

The conference dinner will be held at the Plzen Restaurant inside the Prague Municipal house during the evening of Sunday 14th August 2016.
Opened in 1912 and built in the Art Nouveau architecture style, the Municipal House was the location of the Czechoslovak declaration of independence. Today, the building is used as concert hall, ballroom, civic building, and houses several cafés and restaurants.

On evening of Monday 15th August, there will be a concert at the Bethlehem chapel - a 14th century Medieval Bohemian church connected to the origins of the Bohemian Reformation.
